The Unseen Visitor
In a remote cabin nestled deep within the woods, Sarah found herself alone one stormy night. The wind howled like a mournful spirit, and rain pelted against the windows. As she tried to sleep, a persistent tapping noise echoed through the cabin.
She attributed it to a loose branch, but unease settled in. Wrapping herself in a blanket, she ventured to investigate. The tapping seemed to come from the attic. With a flashlight in hand, heart racing, she pulled down the attic stairs.
Climbing up, the tapping grew louder, now mixed with whispers that sent shivers down her spine. She scanned the attic with her flashlight. Nothing.
Then, the tapping stopped. Silence engulfed her, broken only by her own labored breaths. Just as she was about to leave, the attic's small window swung open, and a cold gust rushed in, extinguishing her flashlight.
Panic set in as the whispers grew louder, unintelligible words filling the air. She fumbled for her phone and turned on its flashlight. In its eerie glow, she saw a pale, emaciated figure in the corner of the attic. Its eyes glowed with an unnatural light.
Frozen with terror, Sarah watched as the figure extended a bony hand toward her, emitting an otherworldly wail that seemed to pierce her very soul. She stumbled backward, desperation lending her strength to flee the attic.
Back in her room, she locked the door, hoping it was just a nightmare. But then, a voice echoed in her mind, chilling and guttural. "You can't escape."
The room grew icy cold as an invisible force seemed to surround her. The walls seemed to close in, and Sarah's sanity unraveled as she realized she was trapped by an unseen, malevolent presence.
Her screams echoed into the night, unheard by anyone in the stormy darkness. The cabin held its terrible secret, and Sarah became yet another chapter in its history of horror.
